Staked Bar Stool - Ebonised Beech
Inspired by the traditional bar stools of the pre-prohibition United States this 3 legged high stool uses traditional medieval joinery techniques and clean lines in combination to make a comfortable and functional piece with a striking silhouette.
Made entirely with sustainably sourced timber. Hand-tapered octagonal Beech legs splay from an Ash seat, set at a slight angle for comfort. The stretchers and legs are joined with hand-bored mortice and tenon joints. These joints are secured with wooden wedges and glue in a Medieval technique that is still used today for its strength and simplicity.
