Staked Bench - Beech

Medieval techniques and modern lines collide to create a beautiful piece for the hallway, bedroom or dining room. 
 
Made entirely with sustainably sourced timber. Hand-tapered octagonal Beech legs splay from a rounded Beech benchtop. The stretchers and legs are joined with hand-bored mortice and tenon joints and a 'H' shaped support. These joints are secured with wooden wedges and glue in a Medieval technique that is still used today for its strength and simplicity.

Every piece is handmade to order in our Newcastle workshop, the tone and grain of the timber will vary with each piece. Allow a 3-6 week lead time.
